What is Revere?

Revere holds a special place in The Comfort Co family. It was the first brand we ever created ourselves, and we made it because we kept hearing the same thing from the podiatrists we work with: "We wish we had a shoe we could actually prescribe to our patients."

Being based on the Gold Coast, that specifically meant a sandal. Because the idea of telling someone in a Queensland summer that they couldn't wear sandals felt, frankly, cruel.
So we went and made one.

What started as a simple sandal with a removable footbed has grown into something much bigger. Today, Revere is the most podiatrist-recommended shoe brand in the Southern Hemisphere, trusted by over 5,000 podiatrists in Australia alone. It's earned that reputation by solving a problem most shoe brands don't even acknowledge: that up to 72% of people are wearing shoes that don't fit them properly.
Those shoes are doing real damage. There are people out there who've had to settle on shoes they hate out of necessity. Revere gives them the chance to love their shoes again.

Revere exists for the people who've spent years accepting that shoes just don't fit right. They do now.

The short of it

Revere is The Comfort Co's original in-house brand, built with podiatrists to solve the fit problem. Removable footbeds, adjustable straps, and a collection of clever features that together make every pair feel like it was made for your feet specifically.

Who is it actually for?

A Revere customer is someone who needs their shoes to adapt to them, not the other way around. They might wear custom orthotics and have given up on finding anything stylish that accommodates them. They might have bunions, wide feet, or foot conditions that turn shoe shopping into a deeply frustrating experience.

They tend to be between 40 and 70, though that's a loose guide. What they share is a history of compromising on footwear because nothing quite works for their feet. Some have had podiatrists give them the unwelcome news that the shoes they love are causing damage. Others have simply spent years accepting that comfort and style are a trade-off.

Revere exists to change that. For many people, it's the first pair of shoes in years that they're genuinely excited to wear.

For many Revere customers, the worst part of a podiatrist's diagnosis was losing the shoes they loved. Revere lets them love their shoes again.

The short of it

People with orthotics, wide feet, bunions, or hard to fit feet who've stopped believing shoes can work for them. Revere is built to prove them wrong.

What is the Perfect Fit Kit?

The Perfect Fit Kit is the collection of features that sets Revere apart. It's not one thing, it's a system: Removable Footbeds, Strap Extensions, Strap Trim Marks, and Fillers. Together, they give every customer the ability to adjust their shoes to their own unique, ever-changing feet.

Feet swell throughout the day. They change shape with age. Custom orthotics can be hard to fit in many shoes. Half sizes fall through the gaps. These are problems every person with difficult feet has lived with for years. The Perfect Fit Kit addresses all of them, quietly and stylishly, without the shoe looking like it's been modified.

Think of it as tailoring for your feet. The same way a good tailor can make off-the-rack clothing feel custom, the Perfect Fit Kit makes a standard shoe feel like it was made specifically for you. If you'd like to understand more about how to choose comfort shoes that genuinely work for your feet, we've covered that too.

The Perfect Fit Kit doesn't just solve fit problems. It gives people back the confidence to actually enjoy shoe shopping again.

The short of it

A system of four clever features that work together to create a truly personalised fit. For anyone who's ever accepted that shoes just don't fit right, this changes the equation entirely.

Section 04

Removable Footbed

Every pair of Revere shoes comes with a removable, podiatrist-approved footbed built in. It already does a lot: arch support, heel stability, and generous cushioning that most people will find more than comfortable straight out of the box.

According to a 2017 Australian foot health survey, nearly half of Australians wake up with foot pain at least once a week. But for anyone managing that pain with custom orthotics, a great footbed isn't enough. They need to be able to remove it and replace it with their own. That's exactly what Revere's footbed allows. Simply lift it out, drop in your orthotic, and suddenly a stylish pair of sandals is compatible with the prescription your podiatrist has been trying to accommodate for years.

For people who've spent summers unable to wear sandals because nothing worked with their orthotics, this is genuinely life-changing. A hot Queensland day should not require closed, sweaty, unbreathable, ugly footwear that they wouldn't be able to wear to the beach anyway as a compromise. Revere has been solving that problem since 2012.

Most people will love the footbed as it is. For the ones who need their own orthotic, it simply lifts out. Problem solved.

The short of it

A podiatrist-approved footbed that can be completely removed to accommodate custom orthotics. Stylish shoes finally work with prescriptions, not against them.

Section 05

Strap Extensions

Every Revere shoe comes with removable strap extensions that can instantly turn a medium width into a wide. For anyone with wide feet, swelling, or sensitive pressure points, this is the feature that makes the difference between a shoe that works and one that doesn't.

What makes them clever is how they attach. Rather than a visible Velcro patch awkwardly bolted to the outside of the shoe, the extensions attach seamlessly under the straps. From the outside, no one would know they're there. The shoe looks exactly as intended. The fit, however, is entirely different.

Feet also change throughout the day. They swell in the heat, after long periods of standing, and with age. A shoe that fits perfectly at 9am can feel tight by 3pm. Strap extensions mean the fit can change with your feet, quietly and without fuss.

They attach under the strap, so no one will even notice. You'll just notice that your shoes fit.

The short of it

Hidden strap extensions that add width without changing how the shoe looks. Essential for wide feet, swelling, or anyone whose feet change shape through the day.

Section 06

Fillers, Trim Marks and Bunion Neoprene

The Perfect Fit Kit goes further still with three additional features that between them cover almost every remaining fit challenge.

Fillers solve the half-size problem. If you fall between a 7 and an 8, you've probably just been going for the bigger size and hoping for the best. The result is a foot that slides inside the shoe, which causes blisters, corns, and calluses in the short term, and more serious foot problems over time. It's also a genuine fall risk. Revere's fillers sit under the footbed to lift and secure the foot, giving you a snugger fit without changing the shape of the shoe at all.

Strap Trim Marks do the opposite job for narrow feet. If your foot is on the narrower side, the strap extensions aren't for you. Instead, trim marks printed on the straps act as a guide for trimming them down to the right length. The result is a strap that sits flush against the foot rather than hanging over the edge.

Bunion-Friendly Neoprene is built into select styles across the Revere range. Bunions are painful, and forcing them into shoes that don't accommodate them makes things worse. Neoprene, the stretchy and durable material used in wetsuits, is built directly into the shoe at the pressure point. It gives the bunion room to exist without being forced against hard material. As with everything in the Perfect Fit Kit, you wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it.

Together these features mean that whether you're a half size, a wide foot, a narrow foot, or dealing with a bunion, Revere has a solution that looks completely seamless.

The short of it

Fillers for half sizes, trim marks for narrow feet, and built-in neoprene for bunions. The Perfect Fit Kit covers almost every fit challenge, invisibly, so the shoe just looks like a great shoe.

In Summary

The Shoe That Was Built For You

Revere started with a single question from a podiatrist: why isn't there a shoe I can actually prescribe? That question led to a removable footbed, which led to strap extensions, fillers, trim marks, and neoprene panels. One by one, the Perfect Fit Kit came together.

What makes Revere different isn't any single feature. It's the fact that every feature exists to solve a real problem that real people live with. Feet that swell. Orthotics that don't fit. Half sizes. Narrow feet. Bunions. These aren't edge cases. They're incredibly common, and for too long the footwear industry has either ignored them or offered solutions that prioritise function over style.

Revere does both. The fit is exceptional. The shoes are genuinely beautiful. For the people who've spent years settling for shoes they hate, or avoiding shoes altogether, that combination is no small thing.

Good shoes shouldn't be a compromise. Revere was built on that belief, and the Perfect Fit Kit is how they deliver on it.
